Alison’s 3 Peaks Challenge

Alison’s 3 Peaks Challenge

Peaks in Pants

Climbing for a Cause: 8 Women, 3 Peaks, 3 Days, & a mountain of pants. Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdonia will be scaled by our very own Alison Rigby on 3 consecutive days: 1st 2nd and 3rd May this year.  This astronomical challenge has been taken on to raise awareness and support for a charity called ‘Let’s get our knickers in a Twist.’

Every day, millions of vulnerable women in the UK and across the globe find themselves facing deeply challenging circumstances which are often exacerbated by a lack of necessities, such as new clean underwear. Many forget that charities cannot accept second hand underwear, for reasons of personal hygiene. Therefore, there is a clear lack of new underwear available for women who need it most and this is what the organisation addresses.

In 2022, Serena Chamberlain founded the brilliant organisation Let’s Get Our Knickers in a Twist. The non-profit provides women in need with essential underwear, aiming to spread dignity, confidence, and comfort one pair at a time.

This is a very deserving charity for women fleeing from domestic abuse. When women are able to remove themselves from dangerous situations at home, they often leave with nothing. The very basic comfort of having a change of underwear can often make all the difference at these times of such difficulty.

To show your support for Alison’s tremendous mountain climbing efforts we urge you to provide brand new, unworn briefs to be passed on to this fantastic charity.  You can do this either by either dropping them off at Wincanton Chiropractic Clinic, or by following this link to buy briefs online that will be delivered straight to the charity address:
