Climbing Mountains for a Cause: Alison’s 3 Peaks Challenge

At Wincanton Chiropractor Clinic, we’ve always believed in pushing boundaries—whether it’s overcoming physical discomfort or embracing personal growth. Recently, our very own Alison took this spirit to new heights by completing the legendary Three Peaks Challenge, conquering Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon—all in aid of a fantastic cause.

Alison joined a remarkable group of women to take on this physically and mentally demanding challenge. Together, they scaled the highest peaks in Scotland, England, and Wales, raising awareness and funds for the brilliantly-named charity “Let’s Get Our Knickers in a Twist.” This incredible organisation provides essential underwear to women in need, a basic necessity that is often overlooked but can make a huge difference to dignity and wellbeing.

The journey wasn’t just about reaching summits—it was about supporting each other every step of the way. From the first climb up Ben Nevis to the final descent of Snowdon, the group showed what’s possible when people come together with purpose and passion. The camaraderie, shared laughter, and collective determination made the miles and muscle aches more than worth it.

Beyond the charity and the challenge, the experience reminded Alison of the power of being outside and active. Training for the Three Peaks meant exploring new trails, breathing in fresh air, and carving out time for movement—a recipe not just for physical fitness, but for mental health too. In today’s fast-paced world, there’s something profoundly healing about lacing up your boots, stepping outside, and feeling the ground beneath your feet.

Alison’s journey also inspired conversations with our clients about the benefits of regular exercise, setting goals, and embracing the outdoors. Whether you’re climbing a mountain or simply walking a local trail, movement is medicine—and we’re always here to support your physical wellbeing, so you can keep doing what you love.

We’re incredibly proud of Alison for completing the challenge and raising money for such an important cause. Her experience is a reminder that stepping out of your comfort zone can lead to personal transformation, lasting friendships, and even a few unforgettable views from the top.

If her story has inspired you to take on your own challenge—big or small—let us know! We’d love to cheer you on, help you stay injury-free, and be part of your journey toward better health and a stronger community.
